It is easy to imagine why Ukrainians like to rest in Turkey. And why do Turkish tourists choose Ukraine? QHA media interview
During a recent meeting between the presidents of Ukraine, Volodymyr Zelensky and Turkey, Recep Tayyip Erdogan, the latter said that 1 million 300 thousand Ukrainian tourists visited Turkey last year. According to Erdogan, this is the best indicator of how humanitarian relations between the two nations are developing.
Ukraine is popular with Turkish tourists as well. QHA media asked Turkish citizens who visited Kyiv why their choice fell on Ukraine.
I liked the architecture buildings in Ukraine. This country also attracted me because a visa is not required to visit it. My visit was registered in 10 minutes at the airport. I can say that many Turkish families choose Ukraine.
I am a Crimean Tatar, I live in Istanbul. Ten years ago, I married a Crimean Tatar and settled in Crimea. After the annexation of Crimea, I have not been there; now I need a visa for Turkish citizens to visit the peninsula. Our family left everything there, and we moved to Kyiv. It has large beautiful parks, beautiful architecture, Turkish and Crimean Tatar restaurants, many Turks and Crimean Tatars live in the city center.
We arrived in Ukraine from Kayseri (a city in Turkey). We really liked Kyiv. We have been here for four days now. Before that, we were in Lviv. We were impressed by the architecture of Kyiv, we visited different museums. Although the infrastructure of the city is old in some places, it is worth a visit. I especially loved the embankment.
I came to Ukraine with friends from Ankara. We planned to visit this country for a year. It has wonderful historical places, beautiful nature. People have strong family and relative ties, we saw this at weddings, attending churches. In this country, people honor and abide the rules. Arriving here, we made the right choice.
My family and I spent two days in Lviv, we plan to visit Odessa. Now it’s already four days in Kyiv. Thus, in one week we will make a short tour of Ukraine.
