“We have to talk with Russia” - NATO Secretary General calls for better relations with Kremlin
We need to talk with Russia in order to improve our relations.
NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg made a corresponding statement in an interview with the German edition of ARD, European Truth reports.
According to Stoltenberg, dialogue is needed even if relations with the Russian Federation cannot be improved, since Russia is the largest neighbor of the countries of the military-political bloc.
“It will continue like this way in the future. We have to talk with Russia in order to improve our relations,” he stressed.
The Head of the North Atlantic Alliance said he favors arms control negotiations with Russia. And such an approach – deterrence combined with dialogue – is fair.
On November 19, Jens Stoltenberg said that NATO would not allow the repetition of the “Crimean scenario” in any of the allied countries, and if one ally is attacked, the entire Alliance will respond to this.
