Ukrainian Parliament set a date for inauguration of Zelensky on May 20. The corresponding decision was supported by 315 MPs

The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine has appointed the date of the inauguration of the newly elected President Volodymyr Zelensky, which will be held on Monday, May 20.

The oath ceremony will begin at 10:00 am within the precincts of parliament.

315 MPs voted for this decision, two were against, another 15 people’s deputies abstained.

Thus, the parliament approved one of the dates, which was proposed by the non-fractional MP Vitali Kupriy.

It was reported that yesterday in the regulatory committee of the Verkhovna Rada five dates were reviewed for the inauguration of Zelensky – 17, 19, 20, 26 or 28 May.

Ukrainian Foreign Minister Pavlo Klimkin stated, that the Vice President of the United States, Mike Pence, may attend the inauguration of the newly elected President of Ukraine.
