Ukraine has entered into a new contract for the supply of a second batch of US-made Javelin anti-tank missile systems.

December 26, Deputy Defense Minister of Ukraine Anatoly Petrenko announced the expected shipment.

“We also order similar missile systems of our national manufacturer. There are several artillery reconnaissance stations, about 100 armored vehicles of various types, several aircraft. Saying several, I mean the resource of the fourth quarter. We continue to move towards providing troops with electronic warfare and electronic intelligence stations,” he said.

According to Petrenko, this year the Ministry of Defense implemented three contracts.

In particular, two contracts with the US government on the program of foreign military sales, as well as one contract with the NATO Support and Procurement Agency.

He further noted that in 2019 the Ukrainian troops received a significant number of different new types of weapons and military equipment. In particular, the following equipment is now in service:

  • unmanned aerial vehicle of operational radius of action, which can be used in the strike version;
  • automated artillery control complex;
  • radar station for counter-battery combat.

QHA media reported that US President Donald Trump plans to offer at least $ 250 million in military assistance to Ukraine for the purchase of Javelin anti-tank missiles in the draft budget for 2020.
