US President Donald Trump canceled a previously planned visit to Denmark due to the fact that Prime Minister Mette Frederiksen did not support Trump’s idea to buy the island of Greenland. Copenhagen said the idea of selling Greenland to the United States is absurd.
German Foreign Minister Heiko Maas said that in order to resolve the conflict in the Donbass, a direct dialogue is needed. He made a corresponding statement in Berlin before leaving for Moscow. At the same time, Maas noted that Germany has “fundamentally different positions with Russia on many issues.”
Italian President Sergio Mattarella accepted the resignation of Prime Minister Giuseppe Conte. Mattarella asked Conte to continue to act as Prime Minister until a new government was formed. And today, the president will begin consultations with party leaders.
The forces of the National Guard of Ukraine are involved in combating the outbreak of African plague among pigs recorded in the Lviv region of the country. The guards are serving in posts that are equipped at the entrance to the epizootic focus. Police and veterinary medicine staff are on duty around the clock as well.
