Volunteers of the international community InformNapalm identified military personnel from the 197th brigade of landing ships of the Black Sea Fleet of the Russian Federation who participated in the operation to seize the Crimea in 2014.

Detailed information is available on the InformNapalm website.

Volunteers found photos of the medal and award certificate “For the return of the Crimea” on the page of a Russian soldier in the social network “VKontakte”.

Activists found out that he served on the large landing ship Nikolai Filchenkov, which is part of the 197th brigade of landing ships of the Black Sea Fleet of Russia. Before the annexation of the Crimea, this ship was based in Sevastopol.

Also, the volunteers found the names of several other Russian soldiers who served on the ship and participated in the seizure of the peninsula.

They posted almost identical photos on their pages in social networks.

QHA media reported that earlier InformNapalm volunteers identified a Russian regiment of paratroopers who participated in the seizure of the Crimea. Their participation in the annexation of the Ukrainian peninsula was clarified with social networks, where the Russian servicemen posted photo evidence of their presence in the Crimea in March 2014.
