Simferopol residents complain about the work of public utilities more often than other Crimeans - Occupation authorities
Almost half of all appeals in the illegally annexed Crimea related to housing and public utilities issues are lodged by residents of occupied Simferopol, the Chief “state housing inspector” Yulia Zhukova reported, as cited by RIA Novosti.
According to her, in Simferopol the number of such complaints received by the “housing inspectorate” was 42.7% of the total number for the Crimea over the past year.
People mainly complain about the work of management companies [municipal enterprises created on the basis of housing offices – ed.], citizens characterize their work as unsatisfactory, – Zhukova said.
On January 9, 2019, the “head” of the Crimea, Sergey Aksyonov, appointed a new “Minister of Housing and Communal Services”. The post went to a Russian Dmitry Chernyaev. A month before, Vitaly Glotov, the former “Minister of Housing and Communal Services” of the Crimea, had resigned.
