Salaries like in Udmurtia. One third of Crimean teachers earn less than 15 thousand rubles per month

33% of education employees in the illegally annexed Crimea receive a monthly salary of less than 15 thousand rubles (about 230 USD).

This follows from the ranking of salaries of education employees, as cited by RIA Novosti.

The same low wages are recorded mainly in the republics of the North Caucasus.

The share of Crimean teachers, who receive salaries above 50 thousand rubles (about 760 USD), was only 2.9%, almost the same as in Udmurtia (3%).

Whereas in Moscow this figure reaches 60%.

At the same time, the prices in the annexed Crimea have reached the level of those in Moscow. Reportedly, visitors from Moscow and other cities of Russia often complain that the cost of products on the peninsula is much higher – the difference can reach 40-50%, or even more.

For the first two and a half years of annexation of the Crimea, prices for basic foodstuffs on the Russian-occupied peninsula rose twice.

In January 2019, it became known that the cost of renting an apartment in Sevastopol and Simferopol is preceded in the rating only by three cities in the neighboring Russia: Sochi, St. Petersburg and Moscow.
