The international community should provide support in the matter of compensation for moral and physical damage to the Crimean Tatars.

Dmitry Razumkov, an Adviser to the headquarters of Volodymyr Zelensky, made a corresponding statement at a press conference for journalists, as cited by Ukrifnorm. У

According to him, repression against the Crimean Tatars will be given a legal assessment.

Razumkov stated that Zelensky believes that the Crimean Tatars are currently in a very difficult position.

There was the answer of Volodymyr Oleksandrovich to Dzhemilev that the Crimean Tatars are currently in a very difficult situation. Including in the framework of persecution, repression, which are carried out by Russia in the Crimea. And this will be given a legal assessment, and, I think, that compensation should be supported in the international arena for the moral and physical damage that the Tatars get.

Speaking about the Crimean Tatar autonomy, Razumkov noted that at the moment there is no consolidated position in the Verkhovna Rada on this matter.

Earlier, Zelensky headquarters published a statement addressed to the leader of the Crimean Tatar people Mustafa Dzhemilev regarding the position on the Crimea. It spoke about the non-recognition of the Russian occupation of the peninsula and the support of the Crimean Tatars. In response, Dzhemilev said that he would like to hear these words not from Zelensky’s team, but from him personally.

On April 21, on the day of the second round of presidential elections in Ukraine, Dzhemilev said that neither the Ukrainian nor the Crimean Tatar people would allow anyone to make concessions to the invaders in the matter of preserving and returning the territories.
