Number of crossings of the administrative border with the occupied Crimea on winter holidays has decreased by 25%
Over the feast days, 20 thousand citizens crossed the administrative border of Ukraine and the illegally annexed Crimea.
According to the press service of the State Border Service of Ukraine, this is 25% less compared to the same period last year.
In turn, the police officers at the administrative border reported that they are constantly interacting with border guards.
The headquarters of the National Police in the Autonomous Republic of Crimea and the city of Sevastopol increased the number of personnel who are involved in patrolling.
According to police, over day of January 1, 1,300 people and about 200 vehicles crossed the administrative border between the Kherson region of Ukraine and the occupied Crimean Peninsula.
As a result of the coordinated work of law enforcement officers, no violations of public order were recorded. Now police officers continue service in the enhanced mode.
Earlier, the FSB of Russia had built on the administrative border of mainland Ukraine and the annexed Crimea a 60 km long fence.
However, the assistant to the head of the State Border Service of Ukraine, Oleg Slobodian, noted, that the fence installed by Russia cannot be seen even visually.
