Militants in the zone of the Joined Forces Operation in the east of Ukraine over the day of December 5, conducted 15 fire attacks on the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (APU), using weapons prohibited by the Minsk agreements in six of the cases, according to the reports of the JFO press center on Facebook.
As a result of the shelling, one Ukrainian soldier was injured.
The pro-Russian forces conducted shelling from grenade launchers of various systems, large-caliber machine guns and small arms in the areas of the settlements of Peski, Taramchuk, Novomykhailivka, Krasnohorivka, Chermalyk and Hnutove.
“Near the village of Opytne, the occupiers fired at the strong points of the Joined Forces from mortars of 120-mm caliber and carried out about 82 fire attacks over a day from the 82-mm caliber near Vilne village. In this area, the invaders also used anti-aircraft unit ZU-23-2 and twice – anti-tank guided missiles,” the report said.
The headquarters of the Joined Forces Operationfurther noted that three militants were liquidated over the day, two more werewounded.
Earlier, as a result of the attacks on December 4, one Ukrainian soldier was killed and three others were injured. In total, militants carried out 24 fire attacks on the positions of the Ukrainian army, using the prohibited weapons in seven cases.
