Law enforcement agencies of Ukraine detained "head of CEC of DPR" - Lutsenko
The Prosecutor General’s Office of Ukraine and the SBU detained the “Chairman of the Central Election Commission of the Donetsk People’s Republic,” Roman Lyagin, who in May 2014 organized and conducted the so-called referendum of the DPR.
Prosecutor General of Ukraine Yury Lutsenko reported on the detention on his Facebook page.
Citizen Lyagin is charged with high treason. Everything has its redemption time, – the Prosecutor General wrote.
In March 2019, it was reported that Lyagin had left for the territory controlled by Ukraine under the “Come back home” SBU program, which exempts members of illegal formations from criminal liability.
QHA media reported that in May, citizen of Brazil Raphael Marcus Lusvargi, who was accused of participating in the terrorist organizations “DPR” and “LPR” and in the Donbas war, was sentenced to 13 years in prison. The decision was made by the Pavlograd City Court of the Dnipropetrovsk region.
