Syrian President Bashar Assad intends to come to the Russia-occupied Crimea.
The “member” of the State Duma of the Russian Federation from the annexed Sevastopol Dmitry Belik informed the journalists about the plans after the meeting of the Russian delegation with the Syrian leader.
Now the Russian delegation is in Damascus with an official visit, which included representatives of the Crimean “government”.
“Bashar Assad, President of the Syrian Arab Republic, expressed a desire to visit Sevastopol and the Crimea,” Belik told the reporters.
Crimean “officials” invited him to the V Yalta International Economic Forum, which will be held in April 2019.
Belik recalled that the Assad’s children had already visited the peninsula.
Earlier, the “Minister of Industrial Policy” of Crimea, Andrei Vasuta, said that the citizens of Syria will have the opportunity to get trained at the Crimean Maritime Schools.
In 2018, the annexed Crimea supplied up to 40 thousand tons of grain to Syria. Reportedly, last year grain exports decreased by half due to drought, so the grain harvest was less.
