Former political prisoners of Kremlin set up joint platform for release of detainees

Former political prisoners of the Kremlin have set up and will soon present a joint platform for the release of Ukrainians currently held in detention.

Oleh Sentsov, Ukrainian film director and former political prisoner, announced this on Facebook.

The presentation of the Platform "Release of Prisoners" will take place in the assembly hall of the Kyiv Orthodox Theological Academy of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine on March 4 at 11:00.

The founders of the Platform are Oleg Sentsov, Volodymyr Zhemchuhov, Roman Sushchenko, Mykola Karpiuk, Edem Bekirov, Pavlo Hryb, Akhtem Chiygoz, Stanislav Aseev, Oleksandr Kolchenko, Volodymyr Balukh, Ihor Kozlovsky, Yevhen Panov, Ilmi Umerov, Mykola Semena, Ismayil Ramazanov, Oleksandr Shumkov, Ihor Movenko.

The coordinator of the Platform is Ihor Hryb.

According to the report, the founders will make a statement for the media about the purpose and objectives of the Platform and ways to release prisoners.

It is noted that the event will be attended by the Primate of the Orthodox Church of Ukraine, Metropolitan Epiphanius, representatives of the Ukrainian Greek Catholic Church and Muslims. Embassy representatives are invited.
