Exchange of prisoners to take place before New Year. “Now the lists are being finalized” — Lutkovskaya
December 23, during a videoconference, the Trilateral Contact Group reached an agreement on the mutual release of detainees between Ukraine and Russia by the end of the year.
“We will finally be able to take those of our guys from the illegal detention who could not be taken in December 2017. Those guys who were held captive for four years after Ilovaisk, Debaltseve and who for four years were not even able to talk with their families,” said Valeria Lutkovska, representative of Ukraine in the humanitarian subgroup of the TCG.
She went on saying that now “the lists are being finalized.”
This information was also confirmed by Darka Olifer, the press secretary of the representative of Ukraine in the TCG Leonid Kuchma.
QHA media reported that the meeting of the Trilateral Contact Group in Minsk on December 18, failed to agree on the exchange of prisoners according to the “all for all” formula, as agreed by the participants of the Normandy Four summit in Paris.
