Ukrainian Deputy Umerov: It is not possible to provide water to the occupied Crimea
Rustem Umerov, delegate of the Crimean Tatar National Congress, Vice-President of the PACE Ukraine, deputy of the Ukrainian Parliament from Voice (Golos) Party, made evaluations regarding the water supply claims to the occupied Crimea,
“It is not possible to provide water to the occupied Crimea for now because it is a temporarily occupied area,”
Rustem Umerov, the Crimean Tatar MP of the Ukrainian Parliament, stated that their attitude is precise on the issue of water supply to Crimea. Emphasizing that Crimea is a temporarily occupied area, Umerov underlined that water supply from the North Crimean Canal to the peninsula is a national security issue.
