Ukrainian activist in Crimea Oleg Prikhodko included in terrorist list of Russia. Now bank account of political prisoner is blocked to which his pension was paid
Ukrainian activist from the occupied Crimea Oleg Prikhodko is included in the list of persons involved in extremist activities or terrorism of the Federal Financial Monitoring Service of the Russian Federation (Rosfinmonitoring).
Prikhodko appears on the Rosfinmonitoring website on the list under number 6663.
Head of the Crimean Human Rights Group Olga Skripnik told Krym.Realii publication, that listing on the Rosfinmonitoring is applied to those citizens whose sentences have entered into legal force: these are articles on the conviction of a person for terrorist and extremist articles of the Russian Criminal Code.
In addition to the verdict, there are other reasons for putting on such a list: a procedural decision on recognizing a person as a suspect or an investigator’s decision to bring a person as an accused under a terrorist or extremist article.
According to her, putting the Ukrainian on this list violates the presumption of innocence.
Meanwhile, the wife of the activist Lyubov Prikhodko said that her husband’s bank account was blocked to which his pension was paid.
On October 31, a “court” in occupied Crimea left the Ukrainian activist Oleg Prikhodko, accused of allegedly plotting a terrorist attack, under arrest. He was detained on the evening of October 9 in his own house.
The Head of the Mejlis of the Crimean Tatar people, Refat Chubarov, said that Prikhodko’s detention for his pro-Ukrainian position resembles the case of the Kremlin’s former politician Volodymyr Balukh and testifies that Russia would continue to take Ukrainians hostage for further exchanges.
The Verkhovna Rada Commissioner for Human Rights, Lyudmila Denisova, reported that the medication necessary for Oleg Prikhodko are not being transferred to the pre-trial detention center: he has diseases of the gastrointestinal tract and genitourinary system.
