The prosecutor of the North Caucasian District Military Court of Russia demanded the sentencing the Crimean blogger and civil journalist Nariman Memedeminov to six years in prison.

The corresponding information emerged on the public page Graty on Facebook.

The prosecution demands to put Medeminov in a general regime colony and asks the court to prohibit the defendant from administering websites for five years.

Medeminov is accused of calls for terrorism and the justification of terrorist activity in a video on Youtube of 2013.

Memedeminov himself said that on September 30 he would deliver his final statement.

On March 22, 2018, a search was carried out in the house of Nariman Memedeminov in the village of Kholmovka in the Bakhchysaray district, and he was soon detained.

In June of this year, Memedeminov was transferred from the illegally annexed Crimea to Russia - in a pre-trial detention center of the city of Rostov-on-Don, where a hearing is being held in the North Caucasian District Military Court.

Since June 28, he has been in the special unit of the Rostov pre-trial detention center-1.
