A 23-year-old man was detained on January 4 in the Bakhchisarai district of Russian-occupied Crimea, on suspicion of killing a one-and-half-year-old girl.
The man choked his daughter so that she would not cry. According to the “staff” of the occupation police, the father of the dead child was detained.
The occupation “prosecutor’s office” in Crimea claimed that it had taken “special” control over the investigation for the criminal case. Currently, the man is held in custody.
According to the so-called “investigator,” the young man had beaten his daughter the day before, throw her against a corner, and then choked her until she stops crying.
After the murder, he came up with a made-up story that the girl was allegedly poisoned by carbon monoxide from a leaky stove heating. He also forced his wife to confirm this by threatening to kill her.
The husband is an alcoholic who often beats his children and wife, according to media. His identity was not revealed by “authorities.”
