Campaign on change.org to revive Crimean Tatar Language
The Crimean Tatar youth commenced a campaign on the change.org platform inviting the President and members of the Crimean Tatar Mejlis (QTMM) to use the Crimean Tatar language on public talks.
Ayvaz Rustemoğlu, who started the campaign, reminding that the anniversary of the Crimean Tatar Exile of 1944 is upcoming, emphasized that no measures have taken to revive the Crimean Tatar language for 30 years after returning from the exile to the homeland.
“Let’s save our language from disappearing! “
Rustemoglu said, “If we wait a little longer, our language will disappear. I think it is time to solve this issue with our own strength. Dear President and members of the Mejlis, my dear people, we spend certain hours of our days on social networks, I believe that if we use our mother tongue, our language will stay alive. Therefore, we invite you to make all your statements and announcements in the native language. We demand you to be an example to our people. Let’s use our mother tongue first! Let’s save our language from disappearing!”
