The United States intends to fulfil all undertaken commitments to support Ukraine in the face of Russian aggression.
Secretary of State Anthony Blinken said this speaking during the hearings of the United States House Committee on Foreign Affairs on Monday.
He was answering a question asked by Congressman Brian Fitzpatrick whether he could tell Congress and the nation that the U.S. would "unequivocally and unapologetically do whatever it takes to have the back of its Ukrainian friends" in the event of “Russian aggression.”
“Absolutely, we stand by our commitments to Ukraine, including the commitments that President [of Ukraine] Zelensky discussed and put out just about a week," said Blinken.
As reported earlier, Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky made a two-day official visit to the United States on August 31.
