Ukrainian Census postponed until 2013

  Ukrainian Census postponed until 2013 KYIV (QHA) - The second nationwide Ukrainian Census is postponed from 2012 to 2013, said Vice Prime Minister/ Social Policy Minister of Ukraine Serhii Tihipko at a news conference, according to Ukrainian News Agency.
According to him, in 2012 will be just preparation for the wide Census of Population, and yet in 2013, a full-scale census will be held.
The census in Ukraine had to take place as far back as three years ago, but will begin only in 2012 and will be held only in a separate region, corresponding to Ukraine’s social composition, Tihipko told.
Exact dates of conducting the second Ukraine-wide Census of Population have not been determined yet.
Under the Government Resolution No.1205 dated November 28, 2011, the State Statistics Service is charged with developing and endorsing the census program before March 1, and before September 1 it has to ensure carrying out of works related to creation of the technical base and software and hardware complex for processing its results.
