  Ukraine-Russia border crossing law ratified KYIV (QHA) - The Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine has ratified an agreement on the procedure of crossing of the Ukrainian-Russian state border, Ukrinform has reported.
The agreement was earlier signed between the Cabinet of Ministers of Ukraine and the government of the Russian Federation
Under the document, the residents of border regions can cross the border in local checkpoints of the region, the residents of which they are, and stay on the territory of the neighboring state only within the region which they entered through a local checkpoint. The agreement also foresees an opportunity to stay in the border regions of another state without registration, if the term of such stay does not exceed 90 days from the date of entry. While crossing the border, the residents of border regions, on the terms of this agreement, do not fill in migration cards.
The border regions in Ukraine bordering Russia include the Autonomous Republic of Crimea, Donetsk, Luhansk, Sumy, Kharkiv and Chernihiv regions.
