Ukraine to launch 112 emergency number before EURO 2012

KYIV (QHA) - Training for rendering aid to the population in the case of emergencies on the territory of Ukraine will be organized by the state-run Public Security Centre via the 112 emergency phone system.
“As the EURO 2012 European Football Championship will be held in Kyiv, Kharkiv, Donetsk, and Lviv from June 2012, the Public Security Centre 112 will train people to render aid to the population through the 112 emergency phone system in each of the cities before the beginning of the championship,” the Emergencies Ministry of Ukraine said on Friday, according to Interfax-Ukraine.
