Turkish tourists to arrive en masse in Crimea

    Turkish tourists to arrive en masse in Crimea AQMESCIT/ SIMFEROPIL (QHA) - Major Turkish tour operators say that owing to the improvement of economic situation in Turkey and abolition of visa regime between Ukraine and Turkey, an entry inflow of tourists to Crimea can significantly increase. QHA learnt this from the Crimean Resort and Information Centre.
Manager of travel company ‘Adriatic’ on the Ukrainian direction, Hasan İcoz, noted that Turkish citizens are very interested in Crimean tours.
“Last year we sent about five thousand tourists to Crimea, and no-one was dissapointed in the travel. In addition, from our experience, nearly 35-40% of our clients return to Crimea for recreation. It is a large number,” he stressed.
The Deputy Minister of Resorts and Tourism of Crimea, Mykola Marinov, noted that the majority of Turkish tour operators forecast an increase in the number of tourists to Crimea in 2012.
