Quest game devoted to Crimean Tatar language (PHOTOS, VIDEO) AQMESCIT/ SIMFEROPIL (QHA) - A quest game dedicated to the Crimean Tatar language has taken place in Aqmescit/ Simferopil on February 19.
The event timed to the International Mother Language Day was organized by the Crimean Tatar NGO ‘Qardaşlıq’ (‘Brotherhood’).
The game involved 20 people. They were divided into four teams: ‘Yıldız’ (‘Star’), ‘Genç Yurekler’ (‘Young Hearts’), ‘Askerler’ (‘Soldiers’), ‘Zenur and his team.’
The starting point of the quest has become a supermarket Silpo, where the organizers held the draw and explained rules of the game.
The route of the quest was on the central streets and the main objects of the Crimean capital - the Verkhovna Rada of Crimea, the Majlis, the Central Market, the Crimean Tatar Academic Music and Drama Theatre, etc.
Eeach team had to go ten points and do ten tasks that required a good knowledge of the Crimean Tatar language and communication skills. For example, to make a poem of eight lines with the use of specific words, to subscribe to the newspaper ‘Avdet’, to conduct an opinion poll on the knowledge of the Crimean Tatar language, to solve the puzzle, to distinguish between the Uzbek and Crimean Tatar dishes, to put on a scene based on a Crimean Tatar proverb, to teach passers-by to dance a Crimean Tatar dance, and so on.
The last point of the quest and the place for summing up its results was the Kebir Cami mosque. Here the organizers thanked the participants for an interesting game and awarded diplomas. As it turned out, all the team coped with the tasks, however, ‘Zenur and his team’ proved to be the fastest team. It received tickets to the Crimean Tatar Academic Music and Drama Theatre. Incentive prize was a package of oranges.
“I liked the quest, it was interesting. If such an event is held again, I will definitely take part in it,” said the captain of ‘Genç Yurekler’ team, Memet Memet.
The ‘Zenur and his team’ captain, Zenur Amet, said that he was taking part in such an event for the second time.
“I liked the quest. The tasks were very difficult, but we have coped because we were together and united. We had the support of organizers and friends. Thank them for such a game. We hope such events will be held again,” he told.
“The goal of the quest is to draw attention of today’s young people to the problem of the Crimean Tatar language. We are used to say every day that the situation of the Crimean Tatar language is difficult, but no one takes it into account. We, in turn, tried to draw people’s attention to this issue by conducting a sporty, active event, and offered our own version to solve this problem,” emphasized Hasan Emirsali, the Head of the NGO ‘Qardaşlıq.’
