Public programme of Crimean Tatar education drafted

AQMESCIT/ SIMFEROPIL (QHA) - The Ministry of Education and Science, Youth and Sports of the Autonomous Republic of Crimea (ARC) has established a workgroup to draft a public programme of education in the Crimean Tatar language, according to the Ministry’s press service.
The working group is commissioned to prepare until January 30, 2012 an explanatory note to the Concept of Education in the Crimean Tatar Language in Crimea, which will be considered by the Ministry of Education and Science, Youth and Sports of Ukraine.
Until March 25, 2012, it is planned to draft a public programme of education in the Crimean Tatar language in Crimea.
The main organizational and methodical centre that will develop a draft public programme of education in the Crimean Tatar language in Crimea will be the Crimean Engineering and Pedagogical University.
According to the Minister of Education and Science, Youth and Sports of Crimea, Vitalina Dzoz, Crimea gives mush attention to the support and development of vernacular education.
“The competent speech, in whatever language it sounds, always prepossesses people to each other. Therefore, the main purpose of the draft Concept of development of the Crimean Tatar language education should be free access for everyone to study the Crimean Tatar language,” the minister said.
