Ihor Kalinin appointed as new SBU chief

  Ihor Kalinin appointed as new SBU chief  KYIV (QHA) - Ihor Kalinin, former Head of the State Protection Department, is appointed the Chairman of the Security Service of Ukraine (SBU). President of Ukraine Victor Yanukovych has issued a relevant decree on February 3, according to Ukrainian News.
Therewith, by decree No.68 Yanukovych relieved Kalinin from the post of the State Protection Department head.
Through decree No.67 head of state declared stale his decree No. 22 ‘On Temporary Discharge of Duties of Chairman of the Security Service of Ukraine’ dated January 19, which appointed Volodymyr Rokitskyi acting chairman of the SBU.
As reported, Yanukovych previously removed Valeriy Khoroshkovsky from the SBU Chief position and appointed him Finance Minister.
