Germany to participate in Crimean Tatar national education financi

 Germany considers the possibility to participate in the financing of projects aimed at development of the Crimean Tatar national education. March 22, the Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Germany in Ukraine Dr. Hans-Jurgen Heimsoeth stated about it during the meeting with the Chairman of the Majlis of Crimean Tatar people, MP Mustafa Cemil, as the press service of the Majlis reports.  
The meeting was also attended by First Deputy Chairman of Majlis Refat Çubar and Chief of Foreign Relations of the Majlis Ali Hamzin.
Majlis chairman has announced during the meeting at the ambassador’s request the results of his visit to Brussels, where the hearing was held in the European Parliament on the political situation in Crimea and the situation of the Crimean Tatars in Ukraine, where Mustafa Cemil spoke. Also Mr. Cemil has shared the German diplomat with information on past meetings within the framework of his visit to Europe with the OSCE High Commissioner on National Minorities Knut Vollebaek, the Ambassador of Ukraine to the European Union Andrii Veselovskii, European Commission's External Relations acting Director as well as a Deputy of the European Parliament Mr. Pavel Koval.
It should be noted that the ambassador wanted to know how the situation in the country in general and in the Crimean region, particularly with the new leadership can be fundamentally changed and the Majlis representatives making an example of the current appointment and assignment in ministries and departments of state and the republican government replied. According to M. Cemil, there is a negative usual tendency that people without any professional capacity and experience are assigned to the different posts they are assigned by other criteria. Dr. Heimsoeth noted that the German diplomatic representation intends to actively keep track the political situation in all regions of Ukraine and realization of the pre-election promises of the winning political power by their party.
The German ambassador has also stressed he considers the initiation of the meeting of the Head of State V. Yanukovych with the representative body of the Crimean Tatars - the Crimean Tatar Majlis would be reasonable as soon as possible. The Ambassador discussing a number of the most pressing problems of Crimean Tatars voiced the intention of the German party to consider its participation in the financing of projects aimed at development of the Crimean Tatar schooling. Mr. Cemil has added in the context of the above mentioned problem in education area that in special notice including the parties of the international programmes. The Crimean Engineering and Pedagogical University (CEPU), which is also in need and it elementary is unable to provide its students with sport complex, hostel, different laboratories and canteen for a long years of its existence.
The First Deputy Chairman of the Majlis R. Çubar summing up many problems, which have the Crimean Tatar people, directed the German diplomat’s attention to the importance of understanding and intrinsic study of the situation in Ukraine and Crimea by the politicians of the European Union member-countries.
Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary Ambassador of Germany to Ukraine assured the leadership of the Majlis of the Crimean Tatar people in the continuation of established cooperation and providing maximum support in realization of projects within the competence of the embassy.
