Gas explosion in Donetsk region mine kills 1, injures 9

KYIV (QHA) - Explosion of gas-air mixture in Pivnichna Mine, Donetsk region, has left one dead and injured nine people.
The explosion occurred on Monday at 1052 at 1.160 meters level, the Ministry of Emergency Situations said in a statement.
As reported, 136 pitmen working in the mine managed to get out onto the ground without assistance.
Nine miners with burns of various degrees of severity have been delivered to the department of surgery of the Dzerzhynsk central district hospital, Ukrainian News has reported. One miner died while being carried to hospital.
