External independent assessment discussed in Aqmescit AQMESCIT/ SIMFEROPIL (QHA) - The Ministry of Education and Science, Youth and Sports of Crimea has held a republican seminar for chiefs of city and raion education departments and specialists supervising the organization of external independent assessment of knowledge (EIA). QHA learnt this from the Main Information Policy Department of the Crimean Council of Ministers.
The meeting analyzed the EIA of 2011, its shortcomings, as well as organization and registration of EIA 2012 participants.
At the workshop it was noted that the 2011 EIA involved more than 8,000 people. In 2012, the number of school leavers is expected to increase three times, which will entail rising of testing centres and staff involved in the procedure.
According to the Minister of Education and Science, Youth and Sports of Crimea, Vitalina Dzoz, the main peculiarity of this year’s EIA will be the reduction of registration time for EIA 2012 participants – from January 1 to February 20, 2012.
In addition, the school year will end earlier this year.
The minister recalled that to implement education programmes, teachers are recommended to amend curriculums, including extra lessons and consultations in them.
