Statements by Russian President Vladimir Putin about new nuclear weapons are "irresponsible", according to the conclusions by British Prime Minister Theresa May and US President Donald Trump, following a telephone conversation, theses of which were published by the White House press service.

According to the readout, the Heads of the two countries condemned sharply the bombing in East Ghouta. The politicians blamed Syrian President Bashar Assad and his allies, in the person of Russia and Iran, for disrupting the humanitarian pause.

Earlier, Putin stated that nuclear-powered weapon had been tested in Russia. Putin presented several developments of strategic missile weapons, saying that it "has no analogues in the world." He noted that the new defense systems will be produced serially and that they are already at the disposal of the Russian Federation.
