Cases of desertion and robbery are increasing among pro-Russian terrorists in the occupied Donbas according to report of Defence Intelligence of Ukraine on Facebook.
“Cases of desertion, including those with weapons have increased in the units 1 (Donetsk) and 2 (Luhansk) of the Russian Federation Armed Forces army corps, due to the abuse of authority among the command structure of Russian occupation forces, the increase of conflicts in relations between commanders and subordinates, systematic monetary exactions for “unit needs” and delays in payments.”
Intelligence reports that five servicemen from militant troops have left the front lines on their own over the past week. Local residents caught two of them while attempting to rob a car at a parking.
According to the information received, a group of militants from the second regiment left their positions and sacked a grocery. One of these deserters was found in a state of alcoholic intoxication.
Defence Intelligence of Ukraine further reports about an attempt of military police to arrest a deserter:
“A serviceman of 7 separate motorized rifle brigade (Bryanka) 2 army corps deserted with weapon. He used weapons in an attempt of military police to detain him and subsequently was killed.”
Earlier, after a short decrease in the fire activity, the militants intensified fire of ATO (antiterrorist operation) positions again: during the day on May 15, Russian Federation hybrid troops fired on ATO forces for 37 times.
