STAROBELSK (QHA) -

The Russian military Viktor Ageyev, who fought in Donbas siding with the militants of the self-proclaimed "LPR" (Luhansk People’s Republic) and was captured near the Zholobok village, Luhansk region, is in remand prison in Starobelsk now, “Hromadske TV” reports.

A preventive measure under the article "terrorist act" was chosen for Ageyev and three other militants, who were captured along with him. These other militants are Daniil Gladkov and Andrey Stoyanov who are the natives of Severodonetsk, and Luhansk resident Bogdan Venger.

Thus, the Article 258-3 of the Criminal Code of Ukraine "Creation of a terrorist group or terrorist organization, leadership of or participation in such a group or organization" is indicated in the Ageyev’s written refusal to give an interview to the journalists of “Hromadske TV”.

Ageyev is in good health in the remand prison, the source reports, commenting on information about his possible injuring during the captivity.

The Investigation Department of the Security Service of Ukraine in the Luhansk region investigates the case, and the Military Prosecutor's Office of Ukraine implements the procedural control, the Chief Military Prosecutor Anatolii Matios reported. All four of them were arrested without the right to post bail.

Earlier QHA reported that after the trial the Russian Viktor Ageyev who had been detained in the military operations area in Donbas could be exchanged for Ukrainian journalist Roman Sushchenko, who was being held in Russia.
