MOSCOW (QHA) -

The statement that Russia is deploying the military equipment to the borders of Ukraine disguised as UN peacekeepers is a fiction, according to the Security Council of the Russian Federation, which commented the report of Oleksandr Turchynov, Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council of Ukraine.

“It's a fiction. I would understand, if such a nonsense would be brought by a deputy of the Verkhovna Rada, but the words of the Secretary of the National Security and Defense Council does not fit with such a serious position,” reads the statement.

Thus, Russian authorities noted the existence of the national security issues in Ukraine, so it worth dealing with them, instead of blaming Russia. At the same time, Russian officials did not specify what kind of national security problems Ukraine has.

Earlier, Turchynov stated that Russia had begun the deployment of the military forces to the Ukrainian borders and intended to disguise them as UN peacekeepers.

Secretary of the National Security and Defence Council of Ukraine stated that these attempts would fall short because of the expected adoption of the law on the reintegration of the Donbas.
