Over the past day, on October 10, four Ukrainian soldiers were killed and three were injured in the zone of the Joined Forces Operation, the JFO press center reported on Facebook.

Two Ukrainian defenders were killed and three were injured as a result of the shelling.

Two more soldiers received fatal injuries as a result of a mine explosion.

Russian-terrorist troops conducted 28 fire attacks on Ukrainian positions. The militants used weapons prohibited by the Minsk agreements in 12 of the cases.

“The enemy opened aimed fire from mortars of 120 and 82 mm caliber, anti-tank missile systems, weapons of armoured personnel carriers, anti-aircraft gun ZU-23-2, grenade launchers of various systems, large-caliber machine guns, small arms. The enemy sniper opened targeted fire. Russian-occupation forces fired at positions of the Joined Forces in the area of the settlements Krymske, Novotoshkivske, Zolote, Stepne, Troitske, Novoluhanske, Travneve, Zaitseve, Avdiivka, Krasnohorivka, Marinka, Novomykhailivka, Starohnativka, Pavlopil, Hnutove, Lebedynske and Shyrokine.”

The militants opened fire from the anti-aircraft gun ZU-23-2 on the positions of the detachment near Novotoshkivske.

A stronghold in the Hnutove was fired upon by militants’ sniper.

“From the beginning of the day, the enemy fired three times at the positions of the Joined Forces in the Mariupol direction in the area of  Hnutove and Shyrokine settlements from heavy machine guns and small arms,” the headquarters added.

According to intelligence data, 6 invaders were liquidated during the day, and 10 were injured.

QHA reported, that the Joined Forces conducted a sweep of the village in the Volnovakha area of the Donetsk region, liberating 1.2 kilometers of territory in the gray zone. Militants fired at the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (APU) from this village. New evidence of the Russian military presence was discovered here. So, the Ukrainian military found the Russian field rations made in Russian cities of Perm and Moscow, as well as ordnance residues of the Armed Forces of the Russian Federation with erased markings.
