To test the combat readiness in the Russia-annexed Crimea, the Su-27 fighters of the Southern Military District of the Russian Federation were alerted, the Head of the press service of the South-East Vadim Astafiev reported to the RF propaganda agency RIA Novosti.

It is known that commander of the troops of the South-Russian Federation Aleksandr Dvornikov checked the combat readiness of the pilots of two fighters on duty during his working trip.

Furthermore, during his visit to the occupied Crimea, he also checked the state of the educational and material base, the combat composition and arming of the air units in the Russian-captured Belbek airfield.
 

Earlier, QHA reported that Ukraine has strengthened control over air space at the borders in response to the statement of the Russian Defense Ministry about the unexpected check of the combat readiness of its troops at the Ukrainian borders and the redeployment of units to the occupied Crimea.
