During the day of August 7, the militants of terrorist groups in the zone of the Joined Forces Operation 36 times opened fire on the positions of the Ukrainian Armed Forces (APU), including 5 times from prohibited weapons, the press center of the JFO headquarters reported on Facebook.

“Over the past day, August 7, the situation in the area of the Joined Forces Operation remained completely controlled. The enemy opened fire on the positions of our troops 36 times, including 5 times with heavy weapons," reads the report.

The terrorists shelled the positions of the Ukrainian military from grenade launchers, heavy machine guns and small arms near the villages of Luhanske, Krymske, Malynove, Novozvanivka, Troitskye, Stanytsia Luhanska, Novoluhansk, Svitlodarsk, Opytne, Mariinka, Krasnohorivka, Hnutove, Lebedynske, Pavlopil, Vodyane and Shyrokine.

“Moreover, the enemy fired on our positions near the Krymske, Novoluhansk, Lebedynske and Shyrokine from the mortars of 82 mm caliber.”

The headquarters of the Joined Forces Operation further noted that the Ukrainian Armed Forces personnel did not suffer any losses, three militants were liquidated and nine more were injured.

Earlier, during the day of August 6, militants carried out 30 fire attacks on the APU positions, as a result of which three Ukrainian servicemen were injured. Terrorists fired Ukrainian positions from grenade launchers, heavy machine guns, small arms and used infantry fighting vehicle in some directions.
