MINSK (QHA) -

Russia in the Tripartite Contact Group in Minsk destructively influences the situation through blocking the solution of key security issues, as well as the release of hostages and political prisoners. Representative of Ukraine in the humanitarian subgroup of the TCG, the First Deputy Chairman of the Verkhovna Rada of Ukraine Irina Gerashchenko made a corresponding statement on May 30 on her Facebook page.

“Security, ceasefire, de-escalation, the release of hostages and political prisoners are the key issues of today's Minsk. The Ukrainian side both at the TCG and in the security and humanitarian subgroups condemned the escalation of violence, the murder of 15-year-old Daria Kazemirova and 12-year-old Dmitry Matsui, and proposed the adoption of a joint statement by the TCG in which to condemn the killing of Ukrainian children and express condolences to the victims of the downed "Boeing" MH17 , to condemn Russia's involvement in this tragedy (recognized and recorded by an international investigation team), immediately unblock the release of political prisoners of the Kremlin and finally allow the ICRC to the prisons in occupied territories of Ukraine and in the Russian Federation. Representatives of the Russian Federation, both in the TCG and in the working groups, flatly refused to adopt such a statement,” the politician noted.

Gerashchenko stressed that Moscow had in fact recognized its involvement in the crash of the Malaysian "Boeing", supporting militants, blocking the process of releasing hostages and admitting international humanitarian missions to prisons.

At the same time, Gerashchenko condemned the growing facts of aggression against the observers of the OSCE mission, who were again fired by militants in recent weeks and prevented from conducting their work.

The Vice-Speaker stressed that "the war in the Donbas and the Crimea was unleashed by the Russian Federation, thus responsibility for stopping violence and implementing the Minsk agreements will be discussed with Moscow and not with the puppets."

Earlier, on May 29, announcing the meeting in Minsk, Gerashchenko assumed that the negotiations at the TCG meeting on the peaceful settlement of the situation in the Donbas on May 30 would be "very difficult."
