KYIV (QHA) -

The militants of the so-called "DPR" did not allow journalists from Moscow to shoot in the Trudivski area in occupied Donetsk, and the footage was destroyed, according to the report of the OSCE Special Monitoring Mission in Ukraine.

According to SMM, in the area Trudivski of Petrovsky district of Donetsk, three women with a tablet computer, were apparently, filmed a video near the checkpoint of armed formations. Two men in camouflage attire approached the women from a guard post, seized the tablet computer and returned to their post with two of the women. And then it became clear that the militants' discontent was caused by shooting in a "sensitive area" - a checkpoint, and they demonstrated to journalists from Russia the level of "freedom" of the press in the occupied territory of the Donetsk region.

“The third woman told the SMM that the two other women were journalists from Moscow and that the men in camouflage attire had seized their tablet computer because they were filming in a “sensitive area.” The two women returned after about 20 minutes and told the SMM their tablet computer had not been damaged but the footage they had filmed had been erased,” the report said.

The SMM report does not specify which Russian or other foreign media was represented by journalists who came from Moscow to the occupied Donbas. Also, it is not indicated whether they had legitimately crossed the border of Ukraine.

Earlier, the OSCE SMM repeatedly reported that the militants hide a variety of prohibited weapons in the residential neighborhoods of the Trudivski area - from mortars to artillery mounts.

It is worth noting that the Trudivski area, which is located in the western part of Donetsk directly near the withdrawal line, is considered dangerous. Militants systematically accuse the Armed Forces of Ukraine of bombarding the area. In addition, the propaganda stories of Russian media about the alleged shelling of Donetsk by the APU are often shot there. The ATO headquarters states that the militants deploy weapons in this neighborhood, from which they then fire across withdrawal line at the residential areas of the settlements in the Ukrainian government-controlled territory. For example, according to the information of the ATO headquarters, on July 12 last year, Marinka was fired from a large-caliber machine gun placed by militants in this area.
