LUHANSK (QHA) -

The commander of the 93rd Separate Guards Mechanized Brigade of the Armed Forces of Ukraine Vladislav Klochkov reported details of the capture of the so-called "LPR" saboteurs in Luhansk region near the Zholobok settlement on Facebook.

According to the commander, a regular Russian officer with a rank of captain Aleksandr Shcherbak with the call name Alex led the militants. He was also an instructor in reconnaissance.

Bypassing the enemy and having a tactical advantage, Ukrainian servicemen offered enemies to lay down their arms without a fight and to ensure their lives and security. However, the commander of the group and the sniper attempted armed resistance and were eliminated in close fire, but "not with knives, axes or spears, as some of the media reported," Klochkov emphasized.

According to the report, a sapper, a sniper and two machine gunners of militants were detained. Another citizen of the Russian Federation, the 22-year-old resident of the Altai Territory, was among them.

It is interesting to note that the militants' leaders have abandoned their fighters, saying that they were allegedly “cadets of the Kharkiv Institute of the Ministry of Internal Affairs”.

As a military trophy, the Ukrainian military took weapons that belong to the arsenal of the Russian army: the Dragunov sniper rifle of 1994 with plastic butt and fore-end that is new model equipment, developed for the Russian subversive groups, and other equipment.

Earlier, QHA reported that few days ago ATO forces had neutralized the terrorists sabotage and reconnaissance group of the so-called "LPR", which had being operated in the area of Zholobok village Luhansk region.
