Over the day of July 8, the militants of terrorist groups in the zone of the Joined Forces Operation opened fire on the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (APU) 21 times, as a result of which one Ukrainian serviceman was injured, the press center of the JFO headquarters reported on Facebook.

Militants shelled the positions of the APU near the settlements of Pivdenne and Svitlodorsk from grenade launchers, heavy machine guns and small arms.

"Unfortunately, one of our servicemen was wounded near Pivdenne," reads the report.

The most active military operations continued in the Donetsk and Mariupol directions. Terrorists used grenade launchers, heavy machine guns and small arms near the settlements of Avdiivka, Mariinka, Vodyane, Shyrokine, Lebedynske, Pavlopil and Talakivka.

Earlier, on July 5, militants carried out 26 attacks on the positions of Ukrainian forces, as a result of which one APU serviceman was wounded. The militants used grenade launchers, machine guns, small arms and infantry fighting vehicles in certain areas.
