Over the past day, 47 cases of ceasefire violations by militants of terrorist groups were recorded in the area of the Antiterrorist Operation (ATO) in the Donbas, according to the report of the ATO headquarters press center.

In Donetsk direction militants shelled the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine (APU) from prohibited weapons - mortars and grenade launchers.

“In the Donetsk area the militants repeatedly attacked defenders of Avdiivka using 82 mm mortar shells and grenade launchers of various types. The invaders fired at our strongholds in Vodiane with the grenade launchers, heavy machine guns and small arms,” the message said.

The terrorists opened fire on the positions of the ATO forces near Kamenka and Butovka mine from grenade launchers, near Pavlopil, Pesky and Verkhnetoretsky - from large-caliber machine guns, near Marinka, Avdiivka, Shirokino, Talakivka and Hnutove - from small arms.

On the Luhansk direction, militants shelled the positions of the APO from the infantry fighting vehicle.

“Defenders of Luhansk and Troitsky got under fire from grenade launchers and heavy machine guns on the Luhansk direction. The enemy fired our fortifications with the infantry fighting vehicles and machine guns near Novhorodske, and from small arms near Stanytsia Luhanska.

Earlier, the Tripartite Contact Group for the settlement of the situation in the Donbas announced an indefinite ceasefire from March 30 in connection with the Easter holidays.
