About a hundred of antique coins of X century were found on the territory of Khersones reserve, Crimea, press service of the reserve reports.

According to archeologists, they were not aimed to find a treasure, they were just conducting a research of the dug area.

“It is good that we found it, still we were not searching for it”- head of the expedition Sergey Ushakov said.

A peace of organic item, might be textile of leather, was also find at the scene. The find is important, as organic items have not been found in Khersones for the past 10 years.

The ancient town of Khersones, located hereabouts Crimean city of Sevastopol, was given the status of World Heritage Site on June 23 2013 during the 37th session of UNESCO committee in Cambodia.
