MARINKA (QHA) -

At the beginning of the day, August 7, one Ukrainian soldier was killed in the area of the anti-terrorist operation, according to the report of the ATO headquarters press center on Facebook.

“At about 1 pm, our fighter was killed with a bullet of an enemy sniper near Marinka. Also, the militants fired two 120-millimeter mines on the positions of the ATO forces at the approaches to Shyrokyne village. In the Donetsk direction, Ukrainian strongholds came under fire of a grenade launcher in the Nevelskoy area,” the report says.

Nevertheless, it is noted that the situation in the Donbas has stabilized.

“The operational situation in the area of conducting the Anti Terrorist Operation during the day has stabilized. Russian-terrorist groups significantly reduced provocative attacks on the positions of the Ukrainian army. According to our operative data, first of all, this is due to the hot weather and the fire hazard, which the locals will attribute to the militants,” reads the report of the ATO headquarters.

Earlier, on August 1, 20-year-old Ukrainian from Kamenetz-Podolsky Rostislav Dobarshinsky died from a sniper's bullet near Popasnaya.
