In 2017, the Air Forces of the Armed Forces of Ukraine will receive about 60 repaired and modernized MiG-29, Su-27 fighter aircraft, Su-24 attack aircraft, Su-25 bomber aircraft, as well as L-39 combat training aircraft, the Chief of the Press and Communications Directorate of the Ministry of Defence of Ukraine Oksana Havryliuk reported at a briefing in Kyiv.

“This year Air Forces will get from the state companies about 60  repaired and modernized MiG-29, Su-27 fighter aircraft, Su-24 attack aircraft, Su-25 bomber aircraft, as well as L-39 combat training aircraft”, she said

Havryliuk noted that the rehabilitation of infrastructure, the examination of military deployment sites, taking into account the actual environment, the gradual transition of the Air Force control bodies to the customary in Allied states J-structure are among the priority objectives of the Air Force Command this year.

She also informed that this year the total flight hours of the Air Force of the Armed Forces of Ukraine comprised more than 6.6 thousand and of the army aviation of the ground troops is about 4 thousand hours.
