ABU DHABI (QHA) -

Ukraine and United Arab Emirates agreed on visa-free regime between the two states, Svytoslav Tsegolko, Press Secretary of the President of Ukraine informed on his Facebook page.

“The corresponding memorandum was signed following the talks between President of Ukraine Petro Poroshenko and Prime Minister of the United Arab Emirates, ruler of the Emirate of Dubai Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum,” he wrote.

He went on saying that more than 112 000 Ukrainians visited the UAE in the last year alone.

According to Petro Poroshenko, the President of Ukraine, the visa-free regime between Ukraine and the United Arab Emirates will become operational in December this year.

“As early as in December, a note on the abolition of visas for those Ukrainians who plan to visit the UAE will come into effect. Ukrainians will be free to travel to one more country. And the value of the Ukrainian passport continue to grow,” the President stated.

Earlier QHA reported, an inter-state  defense agreement is ready to be signed by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and Ukraine. Petro Poroshenko, the President of Ukraine announced two big contracts in the field of military and technical cooperation being executed at the moment.
