Director of Turkish Airlines' representative office in Kherson region Yakup Gül suggests considering the liberalization of security procedures at checkpoints on the administrative border between Kherson region and Crimea for passengers heading from Kherson (Ukraine) to Istanbul (Turkey).
“Such measures will attract more passengers from Crimea"- Gül said during a meeting with the head of Kherson rayon administration Ruslan Panchishin.
Oct 16 Turkish Airlines’s aircraft began to operate regular flights on the route Istanbul – Kherson, southern Ukrainian city, close to Crimea, with frequency 4 times per week.
Opening of the new route comes as Turkish Airlines had suspended its work in Crimea, following region’s annexation by Russia in March.
