In January-September this year, the number of international tourists approached one billion, according to estimates of the World Tourism Organization. During the same period of the previous year the number of tourists increased by four percent.

South Korea, Japan, Vietnam and Sri Lanka became the most popular countries for visits.

According to the World Tourism Organization, the Chinese are leaders in travel expenditures, having spent by 19% more money than last year. The expenditures of tourists from Ukraine significantly increased - by 15%, while those from Russia fell sharply - by 37%.
