Russia has lifted the ban on organized tourist trips to Turkey.
This was reported in the Kremlin administration after a telephone conversation of Russian President Vladimir Putin and Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
“It is desirable that the Turkish government has taken extra steps to ensure the security of Russian citizens in Turkey,” according to a Kremlin statement.
Putin said that Erdogan promised to ensure the safety of Russian citizens staying in Turkey.
Russian President also said that on his instructions, the work to restore the "mutually beneficial bilateral cooperation in trade, economic and other fields” is to start.
On June 29, at 12:00, a telephone conversation between the Russian President and Turkish President was held at the initiative of the Russian side.
